📋 Self-employed income verification update
There's an important change to the documentation required when using full verification for self-employed applicants.
From 29 September 2026, you'll need:
✅ Tax Return
➕
✅ Corresponding Notice of Assessment (NOA)
🚫 Accountant letters can no longer be used in place of the NOA.
Applies to:
- Self-employed applicants (excluding salaried self-employed)
- Borrowers employed by their self-employed spouse or de facto partner where full verification is being used
When does it apply?
- New applications submitted from 29 September 2026
- Existing applications where income needs to be revalidated
The key takeaway:
📌 Full verification now requires both the Tax Return and corresponding NOA.
Having both documents upfront will help avoid delays once the application reaches Credit.
